You don’t want to miss this special event! All parents are invited to attend this valuable 90 minute session Parenting - Navigating everything with Christian speaker, teacher and writer Brett Ullman. This will be an in-person event taking place at Milton Christian School. This event is FREE to register and attend but space is limited.
ABOUT THIS SESSION…
We all want the best for our kids but which parenting information do we choose? With over 75,000 parenting books produced in the past 21 years and the many voices, articles and online resources available, the task of figuring out where to turn for parenting advice is overwhelming. Some foundational parenting questions all parents must consider:
What are Parenting Styles and which ones should I be using in my parenting?
How can I gain better communication skills and use them with my children?
What does spending time with my kids look like?
How do I effectively discipline my children?
In this talk Brett will look at where parents can begin home-life discussions, (on-ramps) and give them practical tools so they can effectively talk with their kids about all of the following areas:
Family Discipleship (how to raise our kids in our Christian faith)
Health (mental, emotional, physical)
Sexuality (pornography, dating, marriage)
Media (TV, movies, music, social media)
Drug / Alcohol use & abuse
Education
Finances
MCS is excited to host Brett Ullman, who travels around North America speaking to teens, young adults, leaders and parents. He challenges attendees to try and connect our ancient faith with the modern culture we live in.

Doors open at 6:30PM and Brett begins at 7PM. Childcare will be available downstairs for those who need it. In lieu of entry fees, please bring a non-perishable food item for our local Food Bank! Donations are also welcome.
