Milton Christian School students participate in the Canadian Test of Basic Skills (CTBS) twice yearly. As the nation's Public and Catholic school systems only implement this testing for certain grades once every other year, MCS feels a different approach in necessary. MCS believes that a more thorough and consistent testing in required to record student achievement and provide a comparison. MCS completes CTBS testing in September, to see how students have retained information after the summer months, as well at the end of the year to access how students have performed.
CTBS testing indicates that Milton Christian School ranks 89th percentile among schools in Canada, with 82% of its student body operating at a minimum of one grade level higher than the national norm. The result - Students at MCS are learning at an exponential rate!
